I know that dogs get a couple shots when 9-12 weeks old, but how much are the shots?

I also heard about dog shots are about 25-45 dollars each, and something about giving the dog a gummy heart worm medicine a month??? (Something like that, at least I think so.) Well, how many shots do I need and about how much would they all cost? (So I can get the money from my mom and go to the vet :O)
