Would you donate 50% of your wealth?

If I had some, I would give it. Giving your money where it will do the most good for the greatest amount of people actually makes more sense than cherry picking people that you want to help while others suffer. Instead of thanking them for helping others you want to nitpick about how they do it. Sad.
