try soaking in a tub of cold water for a good hour that sould slow it down if not stop it for a few hours then when you go swiming no one will know.. i use to have heavey flow periods all the time and severe cramping soaking in a tub of cold water stopped it all for a few hours. this came in handy for gong swiming during the summer time.. good luck and sorry about the pain hope all goes well.
