Shingles damage?

A couple of years ago I had a very bad case of shingles all across my shoulder and neck,fortunately it healed without scarring however I have never regained the feeling in that area.I know shingles attack the nerves so I ume they must have been damaged.Is there any treatment for this or is it just something i'll have to accept?
