Hi there! Well if you are 8 weeks late (maybe did you mean 8 days?) then you can definitely take a home pregnancy test and don't have to wait until the result from the docs office. But having light cramps and cramps that seem to come on with exertion and sneezes/laughing is common in pregnancy and so is having a lot of discharge, as long as it isn't bloody. Good luck to you!
