If A Prickley Pear Cactus branch gets Knocked Off, Will It Heal Properly?

I was just rearranging the prickly pear cactus in a pot, and one of the branches snapped off, will the poor little cactus still heal properly? It popped off at the joint. Will that affect its growth? I appreciate the help!
